Step by Step Guide: How to Clean Your E-Cigarette Clearomizer

Did you know that after two weeks of regular use, your e-cigarette doesn’t feel like it should anymore? Instead, you start noticing poor vapor production, bad burnt taste and you start experiencing flavour ghosting. These are just few of the things that will happen and destroy your vaping if you don’t take care of the most important part of the e-cigarette, the e-cigarette clearomizer.

The clearomizer is the part of the e-cigarette that is very similar to a simple cartomizer, but the difference is, the clearomizer ‘s best feature is being clean. Here is the simplest procedure for cleaning a e-cigarette clearomizer:

E-Cigarette-Clearomizer

Preparation

Fill a bowl with lukewarm water, or if you prefer, clean the e-cigarette clearomizer directly in the sink. Safely remove the battery, then remove the drip tip of the top of the clearomizer. Now that you’ve dismantled it, you are ready to clean it.

Cleaning with Water

Put the clearomizer in the bowl with water, and fill it above half way. Close the clearomizer with your thumb and shake gently, and then empty the clearomizer. Repeat this 3-4 times until you are sure all the e-juice is cleaned. Most people don’t like using the bowl to prevent the filthy water getting into the clearomizer when repeating the procedure. So, if you’re not using the bowl with water, you can easily do this in the sink. Just follow the same steps.

Dry It

To dry the clearomizer, blow in it a few times. Your e-cigarette clearomizer has to be 100% dry before ready for another use. This is important to get rid of the condensation and the water that is left. When completely dry, you can move to the next step.

Dry Burning

Dry burning your clearomizer is a good procedure to get rid of the gunk in it. With this step, your e-cigarette clearomizer could get another few days or even weeks of life! To do this, attach your clearomizer to the battery. Turn the e-cigarette on, and let the coils burn. They will get orange and a vapor will start coming out. This means that the gunk is being burnt. This step should last for 1-2 minutes, depending on when was the last time you cleaned your clearomizer and how much gunk was collected. When the colour of the coils becomes light orange and no more vapor comes out, you know that there is no more gunk in the clearomizer.

Reasmeble It

Now that you have cleaned the clearomizer, reassemble you e-cigarette and fill in the tank with your favourite e-juice. You are ready for vaping!
